ABSEIL FOR FREE! 

If  you have ever wanted to try abseiling here is your chance. The Medical Charity Greater Manchester Support Groups, are looking for adventurous volunteers from all over Greater Manchester to make a daring 40m abseil - and if you raise the £100 minimum amount of sponsorship you can take part for free! This exciting event takes place at Manchester Velodrome on Sunday 7th March 2010 and absolutely no experience is required as full training is given. Participants will be taken along a walkway in the roof of the building and then abseil 40m down into the centre of the arena. STOP PRESS ..... 6 brave souls took part in this abseil challenge on 7th March, raising nearly £800 between them. A big thank you to them all! The picture shows Jean Shepherd who was the partner of our great supporter, former snooker world champion, John Spencer. Jean has continued to support us since John's death in 2006.
